Welcome to Dune Allen
Dune Allen might be South Walton’s best kept secret. This cozy little neighborhood is nestled between the miles of white sandy beaches and two coastal dune lakes. South Walton is proud of our coastal dune lakes, which are only found here, Oregon, Australia, and Africa. So when you’re looking for salt on your margarita glass, and not in your swimsuit, the dune lakes offer an alternative for water activities.
A family-friendly community with a good mix of locals and tourists.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A casual, beachy, small town vibe.
Be ready for lots of outdoor activities; biking, swimming, paddleboarding, bird watching and fishing are popular among locals and visitors.
WHAT NOT TO EXPECT
Traffic jams. Ideally situated just west of Gulf Place, you can almost avoid 98 all together, and get around town via bike or golf cart.
Off the beach, you’ll find family-friendly neighborhoods with cottage-style homes. Closer to the water, expect true beach houses, built on stilts with amazing and unobstructed views.
